"Scientific Studies of Crime and Punishment" is a peer-reviewed scholarly and practical online journal devoted to fundamental and applied research in the field of criminal law sciences.
A distinctive feature of the journal is its orientation toward supporting and stimulating interdisciplinary scholarly research. The Editorial Board gives priority to publications addressing issues spanning two or more sciences, as well as to studies conducted at the intersection of various branches of knowledge. This approach is regarded as the most effective instrument for resolving systemic problems of crime counteraction and penalty enforcement.
The principal objectives of the journal are:
publication of the results of original scholarly research in the specialty 5.1.4. Criminal Law Sciences;
facilitation of scholarly dialogue among Russian and foreign scholars, practising lawyers, and experts in the field of criminal law sciences;
development of interdisciplinary approaches to the study of problems within the criminal law cycle;
creation of an open discussion platform for the approbation of scientific research findings;
support of young scholars and fostering of continuity in academic research.
The journal is intended for specialists in the field of criminal law sciences. Its readership comprises research and teaching staff, postgraduate students and degree candidates, as well as practitioners (judges, advocates, prosecutors, and law enforcement officers).
